Workshop Overview
This workshop is for anyone who is thinking about buying a Cricut has just bought one or has one but has only made a handful of projects. A Cricut beginner is someone who is not yet confident to create with their Cricut. This workshop is suitable for the Joy, Explore and Maker machines.
The workshop will include:
- Explanation of all the tools, equipment and vinyl
- Learn how to do the basics in design space
- How to upload your own SVG’s
- Learn which additional software you can use to enhance your designs
- Create a card lantern
- Design and make a customised glass
- Personalise a t-shirt
- Make a pair of cork earrings
We will start by learning the basics and then you will get to make your first project! We will start with designing a lantern in design space and cutting it out to get you familiar with everything. Then we will move on to permanent vinyl where you'll learn how to upload a design and make a personalised glass. We will then use HTV (heat transfer vinyl) to create a personalised t-shirt (please bring your own) To finish up we will make a pair of cork earrings. You’ll leave with 4 finished projects and the knowledge to start your Cricut journey on your own.
